S2 | Flexion - Supine (band)


To help increase flexion range and strength in the shoulder with reduced vertical load and without need for optimal rotator cuff strength. Helpful for those needing to improve their flexion ROM and strength but still have some shoulder impingement or scapulo-humeral movement dysfunction.

Demonstration and Instructions






Loop one end of the band around your foot or a fixed object. On the same side loop other other end around your hand and tighten until there is tension in the band with your arm by your side. Raise you arm straight above so it's in line with your body and keep you elbow straight throughout the movement. Aim to go as high as you can above head towards the floor - without pain. Slowly let the arm return to by your side.
